We’re now looking for a Creative Director to join our expanding creative team.

Welcome to a wonderful, parallel universe different from any other digital media, agency or production company in the Nordics.

Job Purpose:

As a Creative Director at Splay One, you lead the creative process from brief to pitch as part of a pitch team consisting of experts from our client and production teams or together with colleagues from the creative team.

You represent our creative offering externally towards the market as well as internally towards other departments, where you constantly push to raise the bar for idea generation and refine the ways we cooperate to make sure that our best ideas also lives to become our best future cases. You support and coach team members and colleagues to reach a higher level of quality in our deliverables and you always double as a creative source of inspiration for the agency as a whole.   

Key Responsibilities:

●    As the Creative Director you will lead your own creative projects or take a creative lead role in a pitch team.

●    Collaborate with client managers (sometimes proactively) to develop our client relationships.

●    Master a skill set of advertising, content or branding strategies to handle just any type of communication challenge.

●    Possibility to become a team leader for the whole creative team (depending on fit or prior leadership experiences).

●    Be responsible for all creative deliverables coming out of the creative processes you’re involved in, without taking on a role as a creative firewall. We believe in coaching methods and trust to foster a better work culture that brings better results in the long run.

●    Understand how to make the best of our internal resources and niche expertise when it comes to channel experts and influencer agents. But on the other hand you also have the ability to create stuff on your own without a team.

●    Meet clients, pitch and be social.

●    Simply, get your hands dirty in every part of a project.

●    Be a nice person. We are not a workplace of sensitive artist nor push-overs.

What we are looking for:

●    You have a minimum of 8 years of working experience and we believe that you have a background from either an advertising agency or a digital communications agency.

●    You have a natural interest in the ever-changing marketing landscape and constantly search for new inspiration. You build trust with clients by generously sharing your knowledge, so being truly passionate and curious to always learn more is key.

●    You have proven success in presenting and selling creative ideas.

●    You have a strategic backbone and love ideas that are clearly rooted in an interesting and relevant insight regarding the target group. You understand the importance of backing up ideas with universal truths and data.

●    You have a great understanding of, and prior experience in social media and/or content marketing as well as advertising or other similar fields.

●    You’re more than familiar to keynote and can build a pedagogical presentation in no time.

●    You might have a network of creative freelancers, up and coming directors or designers that can come to use.

●    You understand the difference in working towards many different types of clients: from brands, agencies, organisations, political parties.

●    Experience in working with broadcast and TV is not mandatory, but a plus.

●    You’re a fluent Swedish and English storyteller – both written and spoken.
